In 1250 Henry III gave a moiety of Drayton to Roger de Merlay. The remaining lands were given to Richard de Sandford between 1250 and 1271. Roger de Merlay's portion of four acres passed to Ralph atte Brigge and then to Henry Wade by fine. Richard de Sandford held 12 acres of the king's gift in 1289.
In 1303 Henry Wade granted his share to Thomas de Sandford by fine. Thomas became possessed of the whole estate. Thomas de Sandford held in 1316. He died seised in 1327 of lands and rent. A licence was granted to his son Richard de Sandford to enfeoff Laurence de Pageham of two messuages, lands, and rent. Richard died seised the same year.
Laurence de Pageham held one-eighth of a knight's fee in 1346. He died seised in 1361. The holding owed the service of finding a man in time of war to guard the east gate of the castle of Portchester for fifteen days. Laurence's grandson John, aged six months, inherited.
John Pageham died in 1389. His son John, aged two, succeeded him. The younger John died a minor in the king's wardship in 1399. His brother William was aged 21 by 1411. William Pageham held in 1422 and left a son Philip, aged six. Philip died seised in 1442, held of the king. His heir was Geoffrey Borrard, his cousin, son of Parnel, daughter of Laurence Pageham.
Between 1442 and 1476 Geoffrey Borrard or his heirs conveyed the manor to the Pound family. Thomas Pound died seised in 1476, leaving a son John, aged 30. In 1542 Anthony Pound, grandson of John, conveyed to William Wayte. Anthony also gave the manor to his daughter Honora upon her marriage with Henry, Earl of Sussex. In 1560 Henry Radcliffe and Honora conveyed to Humphrey and John Radcliffe as a settlement.
Henry Radcliffe died seised in 1593, jointly with his wife. His son Robert was aged 20. In 1592 Robert, Earl of Sussex, conveyed to Richard Garth and mortgaged to Alice and Benedict Barneham for 1,054 pounds, later redeemed for 1,024 pounds. Robert Garth died seised in 1613. His brother George was heir. In 1629 Richard, probably George's son, was in possession. He died seised leaving a son George by his wife Dorothy, and sons Thomas and William by his wife Beatrice, who survived him. The manor thereafter followed the descent of Farlington.
